MY MOST "MAGICAL ORDINARY THING"

And what is my most "Magical Ordinary Thing" you ask...

A Screen Door. I finally have a Screen Door - thanks to my Wonderful Husband!!
I have many a fond memory of the screen door we had in my childhood home. It was white and was located on the door that came in from the garage into the kitchen.

One of the most magical things about a Screen Door, is the Hook & Eye closure. Don't ask why, it just is... well to me anyway.
Marc was smart, and got a door that has a wire mesh grate at the bottom so the boys can't push through it.

Finally, I can open my front door and let in the cool spring, summer and autumn breezes without filling the house with flys, bees, and bugs.

The other "Magical" thing about a Screen Door, is the sound of it "Slamming". Unfortunately, my Screen Door does not posess that particular "Magical" quality, but I can imagine the sound just the same.

Notice the boys striated artwork to the left of the door? The Easter Bunny was kind enough to bring the boys Sidewalk Chalk last weekend. Well, since we don't have a sidewalk, a paved driveway, or a concrete patio, they had to work with what they had for their canvas.

SINFULLY DELICIOUS!

If you want to be TOTALLY BAD and Indulge in a completely Decadent Treat, then you have to bake up some of these...

Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!!

Go visit Becky Bakes for the recipe. It is VERY easy, and to be honest, even if it was Hard, they would be Totally worth it!!!

PANNING FOR GOLD

This week is spring break for the kiddies here in Virginia. Our friend and neighbor, Miss Arlinda is keeping her three grandchildren, and she was taking them today to the State Park to go Panning for Gold. I asked if we could tag along.
This is after we received our sediment. Elise is showing hers to the boys.
The boys look like they're not sure what to do....
but they soon figured it out.

Basically, Panning for Gold turned into Rock Throwing for the three little guys, but Josie did pretty good.
After the panning, we took the kids to the little playground.
Despite the look on Luke's face...

all in all, the little adventure was a success.

SMILE PRACTICE

This is what I got when I asked Luke how he was going to smile for his school pictures today...

I wonder which one the photographer captured?

I HAVE NO WORDS

for this...

FROM SNOW TO COWBOY

Last week, it was Snow Boots. This week, it's his Cowboy Boots.
Even with his footie pajamas. Once I dressed him, he wore them ALL day.

Of course, Luke could not be left out.

YEAR'S FIRST VISIT TO THE BEACH

Yesterday was a beautiful warm spring day, and Marc got home early from work. So, we took advantage and jumped in the golf cart and headed down to the beach.
When we first arrived, there was another young family there who had a cute little boxer puppy.
Grey went down the "Big" slide for the first time.
But of course, the boys were all about the water.

It's going to be an interesting summer.

A FORT AND FRUIT ROLL UPS

Yesterday morning, I made the boys this little "house" as Luke calls it.
and yes, in case you're wondering, Luke is playing with himself. Oh the joy of having little boys.

In this picture, Grey just enjoyed a Fruit Roll Up.

Can you guess what color it was?

CRAFT STORAGE OR CAR GARAGE

Yesterday, while doing a little Thrifting, I Scored this awesome little Hutch.
Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it was only $6.99, so how could I pass it up? I'm sure it will work perfect in my Craft Space as storage.

The boys, however, think it should be a Car Garage.
It Would work great for that also... but I don't think so.

MONDAY WAS HOT!!

This past Monday, it reached the mid 80's. I posted on Facebook, asking whether or not I was allowed to complain about it being HOT. Most everyone who commented said "NO"! Due to the wonderfully warm weather, the boys and I spent most of the afternoon outside.

Yes, those are snow boots Grey is wearing
The boys are wearing their new T-shirts from our little trip last Saturday.
Just a cool pic of the swing chain.
Boys playing Tic-Tac-Toe.

Luke working on using the rope for climbing.

It WAS Hot, but it was SO nice to be outside.

I CAN SLEEP ANYWHERE... PART 3

Just another installment of Luke's ability to fall asleep anywhere.

THE RED SNOW BOOTS

For the last week or so, there hasn't been a day that's gone by, that Grey hasn't worn his Red Snow Boots. I think he likes wearing them because he can put them on by himself. And now today, even though it's supposed to get up into the 80's, he doesn't want to wear anything else.

I guess nudity cancels out hot feet.
