THANKSGIVING

In central Virginia, Thanksgiving day dawned cold, wet and foggy.
But, inside our cozy abode, we got up and got busy creating a warm and festive environment filled with yummy delicious aromas.
While Marc was busy in the kitchen preparing what was sure to be a scrumptious holiday meal,
me and Luke had Arts & Crafts time and made paper hand Turkeys.

Grey had to stay on his normal feeding schedule, so he ate a little earlier than us. He enjoyed his nice bowl of Sweet Potatoes and Rice Cereal.
To keep Luke preoccupied, I introduced him to the game of Connect Four. Well not really the game per say...he just enjoyed putting all the chips in the slots. This pretty much entertained him the entire day.
Grey was entertained (and quite relaxed) by watching his older brother.
While waiting for our dinner to finish cooking, Marc took a moment to spend time with his boys.

And, as expected, the food was yummy, yummy, yummy. Our holiday menu included Ham (basted with Coke), Mashed Potatoes, Noodles, and Green Bean Casserole. Luke seemed to really enjoy all the wonderful flavors.
Not sure what was so funny.
While the adults finished eating, the children played.
Marc and I are so thankful for our two beautiful little boys.

We miss and love all of our family and friends who are far away, and hope you all, also had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

NAP TIME...OR...IS...IT?

This is what I saw when I opened Luke's door yesterday after what should have been naptime.

6 MONTH CHECK UP

Yesterday, Grey went to see Dr. Wiley for his 6 Month Checkup.
He weighed in at 14lbs, 14oz.
He measured 27" long.
He can now have solids three times a day
and can move to Stage 2 foods.
He also endured 4 shots
(2) vaccines and his first round of flu and H1N1 shots.
He was a real trooper.
He goes back in 3 months

MILK FACIAL AND OCD TENDENCIES

Yesterday, during breakfast, Luke proceeded to give himself a facial using the milk from his cereal. I do have to say that the milk residue, that was left in his hair after I cleaned him up, helped create some really beautiful curls once it dried.

This morning, I witnessed this while he ate his breakfast. Note that all of the cereal is neatly stored in the cup holder while he enjoys the milk using a spoon. After finishing the milk, he then ate the soggy cereal.

BEAUTIFUL NOVEMBER MORNING

This morning, the weather was absolutely beautiful, so rather than cleaning the house, I took the boys for a walk. Of course we ended up down at the beach so Luke could climb around on the Jungle Gym.

A DAY IN PICTURES (and a little more)

Yesterday, while waiting for a load of laundry to finish in the wash, I snapped a few pics of my two favorite people.

Did I catch him doing something he shouldn't be doing?

Mooom, stop taking pictures of me!
I guess he didn't like the light where is table is normally located, so he pulled it over closer to the sliding glass door.
Not sure what he's checking out.
So Handsome! He likes to stand on the dresser after he gets his diapers changed.

This was taken the day before.

What can I say about Grey...he's just too freakin' cute!!

When Daddy came home from work, he and Luke played with Play-Doh. Here they are both rolling out snakes.
