PORKCHOP.... CONSTRUCTION WORKER OR ELF??

playing with his brother's tool set. no really... he put the safety goggles on all by himself.

Luke wore this his first Christmas, and it was a little big for him. Grey now has it for his first Christmas, and it's a little small for him.

CHRISTMAS STARTED EARLY

Christmas started early for the Faucheux boys, when our good friends Keith and Linda Myers and their son Taylor came over last evening, bearing presents for Luke and Grey. Luke tore right into his, which at just a little over 2 years old, he finally opened a present all by himself. Christmas morning should be a lot of fun.
First gift was a "Sock Monkey in the Box" - SOOO cute!!
He still hasn't quite got the hang of winding it up, but at least it doesn't scare him.

He then opened his second gift.
A "Transformer". He liked the Car version.

And of course, Grey wasn't left out. He got a Musical Turtle and some musical animals to hang from the car seat handle.
He's played with the Turtle all morning...it sure is musical.

Luke and Grey LOVE their Aunt Linda!!

And Uncle Keith and Taylor.

Thank You Myers family for thinking of our boys. We'll miss you at Christmas, but have fun and be safe on your trip to Florida.

Porkchop has two bottom teeth.

BASS PRO SANTA

From right after Thanksgiving up 'til Christmas Eve, Bass Pro Shop has a "Santa's Wonderland" in every store. Santa is there, of course, and then there all kinds of toys and crafts that are set up to entertain the children. At certain times each day, Santa is available for having pictures taken with him. Today, he was going to be available starting at 10:00am. We thought, rather than going to a local mall, this would be a much more fun and enjoyable experience for Luke. So by 9:00, we were all loaded up in the car and heading out, to hopefully beat the crowds that were sure to grow throughout the day. We arrived at just a little past 10:00, and once we were inside the store we were overwhelmed by everything that Bass Pro Shop is about...forget Santa. The store is an adventure in itself. The HUGE freshwater aquarium they have (waterfall and stuffed wildlife included) could have kept Luke's attention for hours. But, we had to stay focused, so we set out to find "Santa's Wonderland". So much for beating the crowd. The line to see Santa was already beginning to wind around towards the back of the store. We took our place and waited. Both boys, of course, were very well behaved. We actually were only in line about 40 minutes. Along the way, we got to sample fudge, watch little kids try to drive a remote control truck, enjoy a model train set - Luke just couldn't get enough of the "Choo-Choo", and check out a miniature Nascar race track... lots to see while we waited. And then it was the boys turn. Luke climbed right up and started talking to Santa about the reindeer that was over Santa's left shoulder. We then got him turned around and seated on Santa's left leg, and we put Grey on Santa's right leg. Sadly, I think the teen-age photographer, took about 2 seconds to try to get the boys attention before she took the picture.

So even though we have no smiles, at least they weren't crying. And the picture (a 4x6) was free. This isn't even the original photo that was taken. I came home and did some editing to try to make the quality a little better. They gave you options of purchasing packages, but if all the photos they were taking were as poor in quality as ours, I doubt they sell very many of them.

All in all, it was a lot of fun. Both boys were SO good, and Luke really got a kick out of everything he saw. As we were leaving, we decided we will definitely go back after the holiday season, on a weekday, so we can really see all that this incredible store has to offer.

NICE BUM

What else can I say?

GO SAINTS

Last Sunday, we went over to the Kesock's to watch the New Orleans Saints play the Washington Redskins. It was a great game, but a little to close for Marc's comfort. Luckily, the Saints pulled through and maintains their no loss streak.

Grey had fun cheering his team on, perched up on Mr. Bob's shoulders.

During the game, we also got to see one of the many deer who come to Mr. Bob's backyard for snacks. Along with this buck, there were five doe off in the distance.

All in all a great day!! Saints win and the awe of nature.

SLEEPY HEAD

Yesterday, I was able to sneak in and snap these pics.

He is just so freakin' cute!!

AND THE WRESTLING BEGINS

It's already beginning... they like to wrestle.

Actually, this is Luke laying on Grey trying to give him kisses, but I'm sure, eventually, it will lead to wrestling. Oh, the things I have to look forward to.

GREY'S NEW THING

He loves to shake his head.

A BOY AND HIS BOX

As most of you already know, earlier this week, I received my Christmas present from my parents - a Cricut Expressions Personal Cutting Machine. I just know this gift will bring my many years of creative fun and joy, but now, in the present, the cardboard shipping box that it arrived in, is bringing a certain two year old, much fun and joy.

The machine really isn't all that big, but the box was big enough for Luke to fit inside.
He loves to get in it and pull the flaps closed.

Maybe, rather than buying him new presents for Christmas, I'll just put this box in the shed for a few weeks, and then wrap it and give it to him Christmas morning.

Now while Luke is preoccupied with the box, Grey has been getting himself into quite a pickle.

Luke took a short break from the box to help Grey out of this particular predicament.

PLAYING

I captured this moment yesterday while the boys were playing together. Notice the Christmas ornament that Luke is playing with. It's a little wooden rocking horse that Mom and Dad gave me when I had my first Christmas Tree in my first apartment in Columbus.
I found the rocking horse broken into pieces today. Luckily, all pieces will easily glue back together.

The boys play really well together. Luke likes showing Grey how to do things, and Grey is just fascinated by watching Luke.

BLOWING KISSES

Turn up your volume, but don't blink... it's quick!!

Enjoy!

TREE DECORATING

On Sunday evening, we decorated the Christmas Tree. We decided to use our artificial tree this year, but look forward to taking the boys next year to select (or cut down) a live tree.

Luke started with the Tinsel.

Oh the Magic of Christmas through the Eyes of a Child.

Grey was fascinated by the lights. Luke was fascinated by the ladder.

Luke hung a new ornament I got him this year... a Cow. In his world all large animals are cows...because that's the word he can say.

Luke insisting on climbing the ladder to help Daddy with ornaments high on the tree.

Grey was more interested in eating the ornaments than hanging them.

This is my attempt to get the boy's picture while sitting next to each other. Yeah Right!
I added the red nose and antlers for a little humor, but wouldn't Grey make a cute Rudolph?

Grey under the Christmas Tree

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all our family and friends.

We wish we could celebrate this holiday season with all of you this year.

REAL BIG BOY BED

Due to some dangerous possibilities, Luke is now officially in a Big Boy Bed.

We took down the Safety Rail this morning. Not because we think he's ready and won't fall out of bed while he sleeps, but because he was using it as maneuvering device. During nap-time (when he wasn't napping), he would stretch out across the top of the rail and reach over and play with the buttons on the TV. So, to eliminate the possiblity of him losing his balance and falling on his face...it had to be removed.

We'll keep you posted as to whether he ends up on the floor.
