Marc worked hard on this Gumbo, but was worried about messing up the Gris Gris because he didn't add oysters like he did two weeks ago, and he thought he had burnt the Roux. I thought it tasted just as good as two weeks ago.

We got the boys all fired up and ready for the game. Grey has learned early the all important "Touchdown" gesture.
The first quarter had all of us a little worried,
... so to change the Gris Gris, Marc turned Luke's Saints jersey inside out.
...and it WORKED. The second quarter got us 6 points and brought us back from the 10-0 deficit. And THEN... it all turned around at the START of the 2nd Half. ONSIDE KICK... AND SAINTS DRIVE TO SCORE!!!!!

After many tense and stressful minutes, my husband's dream and all of the City of New Orleans dream, finally came true
SAINTS WIN THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!
This day, Sunday, February 7, 2010, will forever be remembered in this house.

YAY! Yes, we were here anxious and excited for the game. Screaming at the TV all the way thru. LOVED the start of the second half - AWESOME!!! Our friends down the street have been LOYAL fans since birth. They too have been dreaming about this day for years! Last night they had a Kick off party - with tons of Mardi Gras Food. Stuff we had never seen before. They poured the Crawfish and Shrimp, Potatoes, bread, corn, onion, garlic and Mushrooms right there onto the table. I thought they were laying it out to dry and was shocked when they told us to dig in! It was so fun and a great experience. We "sucked the heads" of the crawfish and filled our bellies til it hurt. They too had Gumbo and Shrimp Creole! It was fabulous. I will post pics on the blog soon, so check it out!
WAY TO GO SAINTS!!
