So a month ago (WOW, where did those 30 days go?), we were at the beautiful Homestead Resort enjoying a nice relaxing weekend and celebrating Easter. When we arrived late that Friday afternoon, the boys were given their own Easter Baskets.
That first evening mostly consisted of a little shopping (a dress for me to wear to dinner), a nice dinner in the formal dining room, and then a little swimming. On our way to dinner, I had to go into my favorite Ladies Restroom and take pictures. I just LOVE this bathroom - the coral, black and white really speak to me.

I SO wish I could have gotten pictures of all of us in the water. The boys had a BLAST!! Luke loved jumping in off of the side to Marc's waiting arms, and Grey loved, what he thought was jumping, from one of the steps. He would put his arms out, say "Weady?", and then fall forward into my arms. It was just too freaking cute!!
The architectural details inside this pool structure are just incredible. We enjoyed it both Friday and Saturday night.
That first night, I had to be sure to capture Grey getting ready to experience his first time sleeping in a real bed.

The next morning, I took a picture of the view from our room. It had rained all the previous day, so the fog laid pretty heavy over the mountains.

It started to get sunny, so Marc ran back to the room to get his sunglasses. While he did that, the boys and I were walking around, and a very kind lady offered to take my picture with the boys. Don't have enough of those.

We had a little time to kill until my Spa appointment, so we walked around the grounds. This is the view as you go out the back door off the main lobby. Luke came to really love the "Giant" Chess (as he called it).

But right before I left, I took this pic of the boys in front of the babbling brook that leads down from the Fishing Pond. Wish the boys were in better focus.

So while I was pampered at the Spa with a massage and facial, Marc and the boys tried to do a little fishing, and then just hung out in the room. Once I got back and had showered, we headed out for some lunch, hoping to be able to see the Easter Bunny at one o'clock. But before seeing Peter Cottontail, Marc treated the boys to some ice cream.

... took this pic while the boys "slowly" ate their treats. Thank goodness it wasn't any hotter, or else there would have been a serious melted mess.

1:00 finally arrived, so we went to get in line to see the Easter Bunny. However, the boys didn't want to wait their turn. They kept trying to get to the front of the line.

Finally, it was their turn. The Homestead had it set up really nice, in that there was a professional photographer who would take the picture so you could purchase prints. But the best part, was that she would also step aside and let you take your own pictures... that's what we did.

After visiting with the Easter Bunny, we went to decorate Eggs and little Easter bags. The eggs were, of course, hard-boiled - this fact totally fascinated the boys. This picture was taken right before Grey smashed the egg against the glass door behind him - totally crushing it.

Near where we were sitting on the floor, there was a piano. The boys were kind enough to entertain the entire room with their dual playing. Needless to say, we exited shortly after.

Marc and Grey went back to the room to take a little nap, so Luke and I went exploring. He loved throwing things into this little creek.

We then found the kid's playground. We played for a little while, then went back to the room to get Daddy and Grey so they could come play with us.

On the way back to the room to get ready for dinner, I took a picture of our room. We were the last room on the second floor.

We enjoyed a Very Yummy dinner in the Formal Dining Room. All the wait staff LOVED our boys. They would bring them all kinds of treats - french fries, apple sauce, watermelon. But seriously, how could you not love them - they're just too cute!!

We then went walking around the grounds. Down at the Club House, I tried and tried and tried to get a picture of the two of them together. These two were the best of about twenty.

The boys running down the hall to our room. Excited about going swimming and then getting to bed so the Easter Bunny will come.

Marc and the boys on their way to breakfast. Don't know how I got so lucky in that they were the only ones in the Garden Wing Hall.

After breakfast, when we went back to the room to get their baskets for the big Easter Egg Hunt, Luke threw his first ever Temper Tantrum... and boy was it a Doosey!! Marc stayed with him in the room while Grey and I went out on the back lawn to check out all the eggs.

One of the shop clerks gave Grey an Easter Egg for his basket. However, it was real - meaning hardboiled. Here he is trying to crack/smash it. He was successful.

Shortly before the "Hunt" began, Luke and Marc showed up. Luke's still in tantrum mode at this point, but he quickly came out of it once he saw all the eggs.

The boys walked out onto the Crochet Lawn (when they weren't supposed to) and I got this Amazing shot.

Exactly at 11:00am, the "Hunt" started. It was a mad dash of about 50 toddlers and babies to gather as many eggs as they could fit in their baskets.

After the Easter Egg Hunt, we packed up and headed home. We got home around 3:00, and then went over to see Jim and Bonnie Usas to wish them Happy Easter. The boys LOVE Jim and Bonnie, so I really wanted to get a picture of the boys with them.

A few weeks later, we gave Jim and Bonnie a framed copy of this picture as a gift for their Wedding Anniversary.
