PUMPKIN PATCH

Even though it's not sunny today, and it's pretty chilly, it was the perfect day to take the boys to a nearby Pumpkin Patch.
After bundling them all up, we were in the car and on our way.
While waiting for the hayride to leave for the patch, Luke checked out the other fun things the farm had to offer.

Still waiting for the hayride to start.

Finally, it's ready to start.
So much to choose from.

Grey was a real trooper.

When we got home, Marc started working on homemade Chicken Noodle soup. It definitely feels like the beginning of the holiday season.

Happy Fall Everyone!

NEW ORLEANS

Finally, a photo montage of our trip to New Orleans. It starts out with a picture of the boys all ready to go in the car. Arriving at Granny's and then Marc leaving right away to go to a Saints game. Then, the next morning, our trip to the Aquarium, walking around the French Quarter, and lunch afterward. Then our first evening with all the family and enjoying a crab feast. Marc's morning of fishing with his Uncle Doug and cousin Greg, while the boys enjoyed "Cars" and I enjoyed a Coke (from a glass bottle...nothing better). Luke's Birthday party. Sunday morning with Uncle Jimmy, and the afternoon and evening spent with all the family when Luke shared his favorite movie with Nan. Then at the hotel on the way home. The afternoon we arrived home, ending with Luke falling asleep during dinner...so very tired after a long fun trip.

We can't wait to get back again.

LATEST RECIPES

I'm still on my quest of trying a new recipe every week. I was on a short hiatus while we traveled, but before we left on that trip, I did three or four recipes to make up for the weeks I would miss.
But now, I am back on track.

Of course, you've already seen the adorable Cheesburger Cupcakes I did for the Bunco ladies, and this first recipe shown, is one I've done before for our Friday Night Happy Hour.
It's a new take on the Quesadilla.
Ham and Sharp Cheddar w/ Granny Smith Apple
Adding to the flavor is Spicy Brown Mustard
and Fig Preserves on the side for dipping
This next recipe, was not a big hit. It turned out a little dry, but Marc and I agreed, that the next time I prepare it, it needs to be a little less healthy, and have butter added.
Couscous w/ Chicken and Cherry Tomatoes
Adding to it's unique flavor are Cinnamon and Cumin
I prepared this recipe last week, and received kudos all around.
You can't go wrong with Sharp Cheddar and crushed Cheez-its.
Chicken Broccoli Cheddar Casserole
with crushed Cheez-its sprinkled on top and served with rice.
Best part...
Prepared in the Crock Pot.

Haven't decided on what to attempt for next week,
but you'll know what it is as soon as I accomplish it.

p.s. Last night I was quite proud of myself, when I created a pretty tasty Tomato sauce.
Started with a jarred sauce and added to it. Marc
does this all the time, but this was the first time I tried it.

I AM SOOOOO FREAKIN' EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE learning something new!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally learned how to use the iMovie feature of Marc's Mac, and am able to edit the little video's I take of the boys. But the most exciting part for me, is that they are published in a way that makes them upload pretty quickly to the blog. For example, the following video is one that was taken earlier this summer. Due to it being a little over two minutes long, it took FOREVER to upload. The first time I tried to upload it, I let it run for 24 hours and it still hadn't uploaded...UGH!!

But nooooow...uploading is much quicker...YEAH!!!

So...ENJOY!!!!

MMM....BANANAS

Here's Grey talking with his mouth full.

WHAT THE BOYS HAVE BEEN UP TO THE LAST 2 WEEKS

I haven't posted anything for a while, so I wanted to catch everyone up on what the boys have been up to.

Grey is getting really strong.
This is one of his favorite toys.
Precious!
Luke's new pajamas.
My two kitchen helpers, all dressed in camo, and one not looking too happy.
Getting ready for Halloween!
Grandpa added to Luke's collection of "Cars".
Luke loves yogurt.
A two year old having a tantrum. Not quite sure why he sat himself in the corner.
Wow! I have two boys!!
Luke loves swinging on the big boy swing.
Grey's not so sure he likes swinging.
KING OF THE WORLD!!!
Luke loves climbing on the jungle gym.
Say Cheese!
You say Cheese too!
Luke's new hat...thanks cousin Zach.
Brotherly love!

Now this last photo is quite a phenomenon. I've always heard about children climbing OUT of their cribs, but never of them climbing IN. Only Luke!!

So now you're all caught up!!

FISH (updated)

This is a video of Luke saying his interpretation of the word "Fish". He hasn't quite got the "sh" sound down.

He started saying this word right after we went to the aquarium in New Orleans. We went to a restaurant afterward that had a sign with a fish on it. He pointed to it and said..."it's a haahh".)
