Last week, Luke was on Spring Break, so me and a couple of other Moms planned a little field trip on one of the days. We picked Tuesday, because it was supposed to be the warmest and driest day of the week, and boy did we pick correctly... it was a BEAUTIFUL day!! We took all the chillins' to Maymont Park.
This was our view from where we had our little picnic when we first arrived.

The park is filled with many beautiful sights. This little waterfall as in the Raptor Valley exhibit. This exhibit showcased many prey birds native to this area.

After wondering through the animal farm and seeing the birds, we made our way to the most beautiful spot in the entire park, the Japanese Garden. At the beginning of this Garden, there is a big waterfall. Luke climbed up to the look-out point to check it out.

I had just yelled at Grey for trying to climb a too big rock for him, so he plopped himself down along the path and pouted.

A lady who had bread for her grandchildren, was nice enough to share a few pieces with the boys so they could feed the fish.

We eventually claimed a beautiful little spot along a little creek as our own, and hung out there for the rest of our stay. This was our view...

Andrea was holding my camera while I was rescuing Grey from a too high spot that he climbed to. When we got back down to the bottom, Andrea snapped this pic of us.

Our day at the park was a LOT of fun, and us three Moms vowed to do it again soon. I just loved seeing my boys interact with their little friends.

Even though we eventually had to leave the park, fun for the boys, for the day, wasn't over. We had carpooled with Liz, who lives on a beautiful farm. When we got back, before getting in the car and heading home, the boys went to watch Savannah feed the chickens.

Our one Fun Packed Day of Spring Break was definitely one to remember.
