A LITTLE PROJECT

Last weekend, we decided to start working on a little project for our outdoor living space. We plan to add a covered patio and a second set of stairs on the back side of the bottom landing of the deck.

Here are some before shots. Marc had already started removing the trellising.
The stairs will be where that little slide is sitting, and then the patio will be, from that point, back into the corner and extend all the way over to under where the fern is sitting.
Since Marc was working with tools, Luke insisted he needed his plastic hammer, so he went and got it. Then a little while later he disappeared inside for a couple of minutes - I figured he was going to the bathroom. But no, he came outside sporting this...
He had made his own Tool Belt using the Western belt that Grandpa had bought him a few years ago. Definitely takes after his Mama in the Creativity department. He was also sure to put on his safety goggles.

Here are some after shots after the trellis had been removed.

We are replacing the trellis around this area with solid boards to help diminish the noise from the road.

Can't wait to continue working on this project and see it start to take shape.
